What is coaching?

Coaching is a creative process that inspires the client to maximize their personal and professional potential. Through the coaching process, clients will gain clarity on career and life goals, elicit solutions and strategies, and walk away feeling confident with a new career strategy in hand.

What is the difference between coaching and therapy?

Coaching is not therapy. Coaching focuses on the future and a way forward. A coach does not diagnose or view the client as a problem to be "fixed." I take a holistic approach to career coaching as I recognize that career impacts all aspects of your life.

Work IS emotional so if you need to cry, rest assured that I can handle it. I hold a master's degree in Mental Health Counseling and worked in the field before transitioning into career coaching.

Who do you help? Do you have a specialty?

I have helped college students, entry-level and mid-level professionals find work they love across all careers and industries from the west to east coast. I've helped clients who plan to work in job markets outside of the United States as well.

Will you place me in a new job?

Coaching is not "job placement," however the goal of coaching is to increase your chances of ultimately landing a position in your chosen field. I help clients gain self awareness and help them understand where their talents fit in the current job market. Next, we build your professional network and develop a target list of organizations. We get down to practicalities by drafting your resume, cover letter and application materials while developing your personal brand and preparing you for successful interviews!

Are you just going to tell me to "follow my dreams?"

No. My style is all about blending passion and practicality. I do not provide elusive advice you can find on pinterest.
